M/V Nuliaq (pronounced new-lee-ack)
The M/V Nuliaq was custom built for Alaskan waters. She is the product of
12 years of Prince William Sound cruising experience. Her 17-foot beam and
full displacement hull with built-in roll chocks make this 52-foot ocean going vessel
extremely stable for the novice cruiser.
The "new" Nuliaq has considerably more room and privacy than
the first Nuliaq. The cockpit will hold a gang of fishermen plus
a ton of glacier ice to cool your fish or drinks down. An on-deck
head saves fishermen time away from the fish.
The salon table seats six comfortably and converts to a King sized bed.
A second settee in the salon provides additional seating. Spectators
can keep an eye on fishermen and the scenery from inside if they want
to visit, read, play cards or listen to music.
The spacious pilot house has a panoramic 360-degree view. The large
settee and table there also make into a bed, leaving room for a small
dance! Here is the perfect gathering place, plus you can keep an
eye on the captain, the sea life and scenery.
To take a picture or soak in the pristine beauty of nature, slip out one of three
doors and walk around the entire ship surrounded by safety rails. The flying
bridge is also readily accessible and will accommodate everyone who wants to revel
in the sea life and scenery.
The boat is carpeted throughout. Each custom furnished stateroom
has a private head and shower with brass fixtures. All staterooms have opening
windows with screens and room-darkening curtains to keep out the midnight sun.
The heating system and thermopane windows ensure comfort throughout the completely
insulated vessel on even the most blustery days. At night snuggle into a Queen
or Full sized berth, depending upon you stateroom.
