Glen M. Wilcox, a 50 year resident of Alaska, is the broker of North Star Realty. He has lived in the "bush" at Anvik, Cordova, Juneau and Fairbanks. He is a retired employee of the Dept. of Health & Social Services of the State, a pilot, a teacher at the University of Alaska, and the former Commander of the Fairbanks Composite Squadron, for 10 years, - Civil Air Patrol.

Mr. Wilcox's undergraduate studies were at Winona State College, Winona, Minnesota - 1946 and received his B.A., Hamline University, St. Paul, Minnesota - 1950 and completed graduate studies at Berkeley at Yale, Yale Univ., New Haven, Connecticut, receiving a Div.M in 1953.

He is retired from the Dept. of Health & Social Services where he was the first Coordinator of the Office of Alcoholism, also initiating the Office of Aging as Coordinator. He was Chief of the Dept. of Health & Social Services for the City of Fairbanks. On leaving city employment he entered on a career in real estate.

The first electronic multiple listing service in the Fairbanks area was started by Mr. Wilcox, the Fairbanks MLS. At that time, he also worked with the Fairbanks North Star Borough in establishing the public access of the Borough Assessing Data with the use of personal computers. He has continued his interest in computers related to real estate, teaching at the local community college, now a part of the University of Alaska.

Mr. Wilcox has been the Owner/Broker of North Star Realty since 1975. Since 1976 he has been a Graduate of the Realtor's® Institute. He has experience in most all phases of real estate and is ready to help you with your real estate needs.
